Tapaz 2 Go: A Hummus thats Easy! I am all about quick and easy snacks on the go. Unfortunaeltly, if I haven't planned ahead, I end up giving in an unhealthy version of my biggest weakness....chips and dip! I found these GREAT little snack packs that are both healthy and easy!! Not only that, they don't have to be refrigerated :-)

Not bad, eh? Compared to most chips, these are also gluten free and non-GMO. Now they do have some unlisted ingredients, such as agave and they can be pricey. But compared to many on the go snacks or ones that you don't have to make yourself, these are a WIN, in my book. And Hummus, as a whole contains, plenty of Omega 3 fatty acids, which are great for improving intelligence and maintaining a healthy heart. On top of it all, hummus also has iron, vitamin B6, manganese, copper, folic acid, and amino acids. Tryptophan, phenylalanine, and tyrosine are the amino acids found in hummus that can promote good quality sleep and uplift one’s mood. What busy mom couldn't use a mood lifter on the go? LOL!
Chickpeas are also very healthy because they do not contain any cholesterol or saturated fats. They are also rich in protein. This makes hummus a favorite among vegetarians. They are also known to be effective in preventing build up of cholesterol in the blood vessels. Apart from that, it can maintain correct blood sugar levels. <---even better if you are a diabetic! Hummus is loaded with nutrients that can contribute to a healthy lifestyle. I packed these on a day trip to Clearwater beach and they were super easy and all three of my kiddos loved them. Unless you have time to make your own healthy snacks, this a great pre-packaged option!
