How to Drink More Water!  Tips and Tricks to help keep you hydrated! "Water is sooooo boring!" Omgggg I hear this DAILY from my customers on their quest to hydrate.  We KNOW we needs more water, but getting it can become somewhat boring and tasteless.  Here are some tricks that I've picked up along the way!

Ok- first of all- lets discuss the BOTTLE.   I don't feel comfortable drinking a NEW water bottle every time.  Long gone are the days of being so wasteful and inconsiderate of the environment.  However, I have also tried to buy some really cool snazzy bottle and keep refilling it.  That doesn't really work for me either because after a week or so- it gets well...GROSS!  It's never fully washed well and I feel because I carry it everywhere, it picks up who knows what.  I don't know- lets just say I do appreciate the "freshness" of a new bottle.  So this is my solution.  I like the shape, size and feel of the 33.8 oz smart water plastic bottle.  I know I need to drink three of them a day.  I will continue to refill the same bottle over 3-4 days with my RO filter and then TOSS it in the RECYCLE bin!  Then, I start over with a NEW bottle.  That keeps me having a fresh light weight bottle, that is more environmentally friendly and I don't have to stress over leaving somewhere.  So- with that being said, here is my first favorite tip..

Make it a GAME!  If you are a "list" person like me, you will totally love this one because it's gives a similar satisfaction as to crossing something off your list!  !  I refill my bottle three times a day and to keep track of how much Ive had, I keep these three rubber bands on my bottle.  Every time Ive finished one full bottle, I move the band to the bottom of the bottle.  I try and have my first band moved by 11am, my second by 4pm and my third, by 7pm (hey much later than that and it interferes with my sleep if you know what I mean!).  By the end of the day, I am reminded that Ive finished all of my daily water requirements!

Jazz it up!   This is not a new one- but lets face it, plain water isn't exactly the biggest crowd pleaser at a party!  So her are some of my personal favorites.  Watermelon Water!  When we either have a big group of people around (kids from the neighborhood most likely!) I will fill up this large container I bought at Wal Mart and throw in some water melon.  It's gives a fresh sweet flavor and the kids love to eat the water melon once the water is gone-ah...EXTRA hydration!!!

Get SWANKY!  Presentation goes a long way, right?!  Find a swanky looking wine carafe and use a diluted tea to give it some extra flavor.  Throw in some fresh fruit, mint, basil, frozen fruit "cubes" and you've got plain water dressed up looking swanky!  Why not even serve it in a wine glass!   I love the diluted gourmet tea idea because it does give it some extra flavor.

ADD FIZZ!  You can totally create a mock cocktail land keep yourself hydrated in the process.  Personally, I LOVE the LaCroix Recipes for all their flavored waters.  Whether you drink the water on their own, or create a mock cocktail, you will have your tastebuds DANCING!  And who doesn't want dancing hydrated taste buds?!

Go for the MARINADE!  You can create 3-4 different container flavors to drink throughout your day so that you have a different flavor with each container.  That helps with flavor boredom and mixes things up a bit, too!

What I would AVOID are any waters that are artificially flavored or have artificial sweeteners or colors.  These chemicals alter your bodies natural weight loss and could end up making you thirstier and with more cravings and irritability.  So keep your water intake, clean, fresh and plentiful!
