Curry Cauliflower Pilau Recipe
Indian cooking has been very popular in England ever since the British Empire included India. There is also a sizable population of immigrants from India in England who have brought their unique and delightful cuisine traditions with them. This cauliflower dish is bursting with Eastern flavor and makes a fantastic side dish, especially for those who need gluten-free options.
1 cup cauliflower florets (not the stalk) 1/2 tsp turmeric 3 cloves 1/2 cinnamon stick 6 curry leaves
Put the cauliflower florets in a food processor and pulse to make grains the size of rice. Place in a microwaveable bowl and stir in the turmeric. Place the cloves, cinnamon stick, and curry leaves on top.
Cover with cling film, pierce and microwave on High for 3 mins. Pick off the cloves, cinnamon stick, and curry leaves and discard. Fluff up with a fork and serve. For extra-fancy service press the pilau into a form or bowl, carefully remove onto a plate, and garnish with a pumpkin blossom as pictured. If you aren't taking any pictures of your dinner and you just want to eat you can skip the art project and just grab a fork.
