Greek Turkey Burgers Recipe

If you are eating clean, chances are a good old beef hamburger is not on the menu. The good news is turkey burgers are a wonderful alternative to hamburgers.  Ground turkey is lower in fat and makes a healthier burger. The secret is to mix it with veggies to keep it moist, otherwise it can be a bit dry.

Here's a great recipe to try. I love that it incorporates grated carrots and zucchini. The feta crumbles give it a bit of extra tang too.

Turkey Burgers

You will need:

1 ½ lb lean ground turkey ¾ cup grated zucchini 2 cloves garlic- minced ¼ cup onion minced ¼ cup grated carrot 1 tbsp oregano ¾ tsp sea salt ¾ tsp fresh ground pepper 1/3 cup Feta Cheese crumbled ½ tsp lemon juice tzadziki sauce to taste

Directions: Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Divide into 6 patties Cook over medium heat, roughly 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink in the center. Serve with tzadziki sauce and a mixed greens salad.
