For YEARS I worked from the dashboard of my car. I was a "road warrior" in pharmaceutical sales and before that I was a manager at Enterprise Rent A Car.
On top of monotonous commutes, I was so fed up with driving, dashboards, traffic jams, road rage, packed lunches and shitty weather.
12 years of being CAR CAPTIVE made me SHUDDER at the thought of going anywhere. 🤦🏼♀️
When I started my own online coaching business in 2011, the first 3 years were spent on a 13" lap top from my COUCH in yoga pants! Home was the only place I wanted to be for a long time.
Looking back, I'm grateful that my pharma company downsized after a merger. It led to me a FREEDOM I'd always dreamed about in a career. And I get to show other professionals how to do the same.
Now, when I do drive it's on
my time of day,
my kind of weather,
and I'm going where ever I damn well please!
There is life after a corporate break up. And it can be very FREEING.
My advice??? Give your FEARS the FINGER ---> because if you aren't driving into your own career GPS, then you'll forever be confined to someone else's.
